Deutsch In dieser Sendung wird die elektronische Musik und auch die New-Age-Musik behandelt. Unter elektronischer Musik versteht man Musik, die mit Synthesizern, Keyboards, Computern und anderen elektronischen Klangerzeugern gemacht wird. Am bekanntesten dürften wohl Interpreten wie Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream und Klaus Schulze sein. Es gibt aber noch sehr viele andere Musiker und Formationen in aller Welt, die nicht weniger interessante Musik machen. In "Silent Running" hören Sie neue wie auch alte Titel von den bekannten Namen wie auch von absoluten Newcomern. Desweiteren sind auch regelmässig Interviews mit diversen Musikern zu hören. In jeder Sendung wird gegen 20h30 ein Titel von etwa 30 Minuten gespielt. "Silent Running" richtet sich ebenso an echte Freaks der elektronischen Musik, wie auch an interessierte Neulinge; diese werden erstaunt sein über die Vielfalt dieser Musikrichtung. Die Sendung läuft jeden Sonntag von 19h30 bis 21h00 und wird zusammengestellt und moderiert von Gaston Klares. Donnerstag abends ab 22h00 wird die Sendung wiederholt. Die Sendung "Silent Running" besteht seit der ersten Stunde auf Radio ARA, mittlerweile sind über 919Ausgaben ausgestrahlt worden (August 2010).

English My weekly radio show "Silent Running" is treating electronic music and a bit of New Age, in a short chapter i talk from time to time about the technique inside Synthesizers, as well as presentations of new and vintage effects and studio equipment. Each show ends with a track of about 30 minutes. All kind of floating, spacy, sequencer-based etc. electronic music is welcome. There is no place for techno and its derivates. Being present at the major EM festivals (mainly in the Netherlands) i use to record interviews with musicians and bands. "Silent Running" exists since the birth of Radio ARA in 1992. You can listen to it every sunday evening from 7h30 till 9h00 p.m. A playback of Sunday's show can be received on thursday night starting at 10h00 p.m. "Silent Running" is conceived and performed by myself. Français "Silent Running" existe depuis la fondation de Radio ARA en 1992. L'émission traite la musique électronique "traditionelle", si on peut le nommer ainsi, mais aucun techno, trance, etc. L'émission est garnie avec des informations sur des musiciens, dates de concerts, et des rumeurs du milieu électronique, des interviews avec des musiciens, que j'enregistre lors de festivals à l'étranger. Vers la fin de chaque émission je mets un titre d'une longueur étendue d'environ 30 minutes. L'émission peut être reçue chaque dimanche soir de 19h30 à 21h00. Rediffusion le jeudi soir à partir de 22h00. Jusqu'à présent on été émises plus de 919 émissions (Août 2010).
